This task we were given a mirror and a spit to work from on the wall, using the mirrors we then had to draw the reflection from the previous morse code task we completed.
I liked this task as i feel it gave us freedom to draw however big, small or random as we pleased but keeping it still related to the task and morse code. We moved around the studios and i found it interesting to look at everyone else’s work that they had complete and how they all went about doing the task set.
We began to get more experimentational as we went along the task and started to include more colour and bold mark making into these paintings.
I learnt from this project that using big and bold lines and marks can make a difference on your work as they are more eye catching and effective than little perfect sketch lines.
I also think that adding the colour gave the work some life and vibrancy which i like.
