My inspiration for this project stems from the artistic, poetic mind of Jim Morrison from the 1960s-70s rock band "The Doors." His music was influenced heavily by his time living in Venice Beach, CA as well as psychedelic experiences he had in the desert. The album is a redesign of their first album released in 1967 titled "The Doors."

 

The album art was created analog style with torn printed photos (a couple of them being my own photography) and placed to create a collage. The raw collage was then scanned and brought into illustrator, where I added color to make the image pop.
