Animated Color Illusion

No Yellow, Color Optical Illusion
Engaging the Mind: 'Radio Waves' - Observe the illusion unfold as a seemingly radiant yellow circle permeates perception, while, in reality, only the serene hues of blue gracefully traverse the screen. A visual marvel that continually challenges reality with each frame.

Here is a tutorial guiding you through the creation of this animated chromatic illusion.
Fig. 1 demonstrates the creation of the basic pattern for the animation. A simple spiral, which, after radial symmetry, transforms into a circular motif featuring 27 spiral arms.
In Fig. 2, the pattern is saturated with a blue hue. To execute the animation, both a rotating image and a mirror image of the blue, with inverted colors, are required. The static yellow pattern serves as a layer blended in multiply mode (Fig. 3) with the animated blue image spanning 30 frames. Each frame represents a version of the previous blue pattern rotated at approximately 12.138 degrees.

To fully realize the illusion of yellow radio waves, it is necessary to convert the yellow of each frame back to saturated blue, as depicted in Fig. 4.
For those seeking a shortcut, here's how to code it all in Shadertoy.

To conclude, here are a few variations. In the first, one perceives an illusory expansion of blue circles (the animation comprises only yellow and black), and in the second, an illusory expansion of white circles, even though the animation lacks white color.
