PSYCHEDELIC POSTER
For my Introduction to Digital Drawing class, we had a project to create a poster inspired by 1960s psychedelic posters. We had the freedom to choose a quote or song lyric, and I decided to use lyrics from “Karma” by Taylor Swift. I experimented with the idea of karma by using a magnifying glass to signify karma “tracking down” someone. To draw back to the 1960s, I used envelope distort to play around with the text and used bright colors. Adding in shading and small details to the magnifying glass helped bring everything together. I’m most proud of adding text in the background to show how warped it is when looked through the glass.
LOGO AND BUSINESS CARD
In the same class, we had another project to work on creating a mock up business card and logo for an imaginary business. The Cat's Tail Cafe is a cat cafe for customers to enjoy refreshing drinks and pastries while playing with cats. For the logo, I wanted to incorporate both the drinks and cat aspect into it. I’m most proud of the back of my business card. I wanted to keep the design consistent with the front and had the idea to add a part of the logo to it. The cat ears also give the illusion of the top of a cat’s head peeping out.
