D&D Homebrew II & III: Fire Storm
A homebrew item for our Dungeons and Dragons Campaign. My character was in need of a better offensive option. Using a concept of a symphony and dual-wielding a weapon as an inspiration, I decided to create magic weapons with just that.

This is Fire Storm — collectively called when Lakan'Danum and Lakan'Api are wielded together. Lakan'Danum and Lakan'Api are deities from Kapampangan mythology in the Philippines.

Danum, translated, is literally water. Api, translated, is literally fire. Hence, the name. The scripts written here is the Kapampangan writing called the Kulitan.

Hope y'all take interest in our local mythology. Kapampangans are known to have the most abundant dragons in their mythology. Drawing similarities to our Austronesian brothers (like Indonesia and others) like the Naga.
The concept for this weapon is the treble clef as can be seen in the sword's hilt. The flow-y aspect of the treble clef is perfect for the smoothness and calmness of water. I drew inspiration from the classic rapier of the west to further show the elegance of the weapon.
The concept for this weapon is the bass clef as can be seen in the sword's sheath. The usage of the bass clef is perfect for the intensity and power of the fire. I drew inspiration from the powerful Kris of the Southeast Asia to further show the power and brawny-ness of the weapon despite it's elegant façade.
