Salvatore Rodolico is a shipwright from Aci Trezza, the seaside village of Giovanni Verga's Malavoglia. In his shipyard, which boasts five generations of shipwrights, wooden boats of all sizes have been created. Recognized as a "Living Human Treasure" by the Region of Sicily, Turi Rodolico is one of the last repositories of a know-how that is being lost.
