The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence
Hong Kong’s only military museum, the historic site is converted from the hundred-year-old Lyemun Fort on a headland 64 meters above sea level overlooking Lyemun Pass. The revamped visual identity and way-finding system are devised with refined details that draw from the motions of the waves, with the contrast of sharp corners inspired by the machines and broken site. The whole project is surrounded by the core idea of “Broken Waves.”
