steampunk art is creation of new world and combination using components of mechanical machine,
and a kind of expression to seem different. It is hard to notice inner differences because industrial products is only for its funtion. And products which already have a name are very monotonus because of the feeling which its name given us. However, if you would be in different perception when you face product, you could find totally different image from the same products, There are two ways having different perception and express for products. One is to present that products could funtion differently instead of its original one, and the other is to show different image as new usage. I chose the latter, I have collected and observed objects from daily life like components over 2,000 parts of watch, then symbolized the form of them, and made emblematic and different meaning, not original function and meaning.
Viewer will find newness and beauty in the meaning artist made, because everybody expects that object has a meaning.
Does everybody think Marilyn Monroe(1926~1962) as the beauty?
