I.V.A.R.S. Installation Video Architectural Réactive au Son
Developed with VVVV , I.V.A.R.S. is the first step into architectural video mapping world for the Creation Ex Nihilo crew that will be presented at the Nuit Blanche in Montreal @ the Society of arts and technology February 27th 2010.
Its a Spectrum analyzer projected on four cement columns from a 45 degree angle with four 2500 lumen projectors attached to the ceiling. Each column react respectively to Low, Mid low, Mid hi and Hi audio frequencies. This footage was taken during the first hour of set up and initial test on only two columns with the full array of sound sent to both. Easier to focus the projectors that way :)
The goal is to get the spectrum to do a lot more then just go up and down.
