Inktober Prompt - Digital Media and Graphic Design
Straying off path was a frequent mishap that occured, yet it was part of what motivated me to complete the Inktober prompts. When assembling this Zine, I choose this particular theme because it relays a spooky cinematic color scheme and elements of Halloween. These specific elements helped draw me into the creative process of this assignment and combatted my sluggish behaviors that would have affected my art process' original timeframe.
The art principle of unity was achieved by focusing on the alignment and repetition of the composition. This is exhibited by the roses, thorny vines, pumpkins, and the cat on the last page and back cover on the Zine. One art element I used to create this unified effect is line. The light yellow lines surrounding the images attract the focus of the viewer to the subject of the page. Overall, my artistic perspective of the Inktober prompts was a unique experience that I would undergo again next year!
