2024 Prospectus | USP

The University of the South Pacific (USP) - 2024 Prospectus

'Our People, Our Stories' Campaign
The 'Our People, Our Stories' campaign focuses on storytelling and sharing the experiences and wisdom of individuals who have journeyed through USP. These personal stories have the power to inspire, educate, and guide others in their academic pursuits, potentially influencing entire generations in the Pacific. From grandparents, parents to children, it is about sharing stories of ‘Our People’ that are present in the region and globally and are making an impact in their homes/communities/countries.

Challenge:
To create a cover with generations of families and story telling in mind. Incorporate pacific elements throughout the publication layout and cover.

Solution:
Hand painted an abstract acrylic painting of a family of three generations of women standing together amidst the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. The artwork depicts the importance of family at the core of Pacific communities, that would inspire future generations to embark on new horizons.

The motifs (created by my coworker) used on the cover and throughout the prospectus have Micronesian, Polynesian, and Melanesian influences. A custom font was then created using these motifs for the campaign.

Result:
The prospectus was used in all 12 member countries in the region and the artwork features on USP's website, billboard, and merchandise. The campaign's concept was implemented during Open Day, Graduation ceremonies, and for upcoming events.
Custom font used throughout the Prospectus and for the 'Our People, Our Stories' campaign.
