Derealization is a state where you feel detached from your surroundings. It feels like you are not real and so is everything else. I wanted to capture this feeling in this painting. The fabric, a tired looking man is holding, represents the heavy feeling and every face has empty eyes and an overall exhausted expression that suits this feeling very well.
