Although l don’t find it easy to explain my own work due to the intuitive nature of the making process, this particular series is as the title reveals about coming to yourself, going deep inside yourself. Retreating from the noise of everyday life in order to transform certain sides of yourself, to grow so to speak. There might be a part of myself that needs retreating from time to time but l am sure it’s a familiar phenomenon and a necessity of life. I am interested in people’s underlying motives, emotions, deeper layers and this is what l am trying to capture in most of my work. Portraying emotion is one of the drives l have when creating.
