A sculpture made from cartridge paper modules, revolving in an algorithmic spiral.

This project started last year in June 2008, titled coil. Z-form is a paper sculpture that had to coil upon itself in a rhythmic way (think Nautitlus shells or snail shells) and was to be assembled modularly. Each of the 30 module was only different in perspective size. The name Z-form was conceptualized from initial stages of development. Earlier models were discarded because it had a tendency to bunch up which made the model looked crushed, the eventual graduation in size of the modules allowed it to flare out quite neatly. Hopefully, Z-form could harbour itself as some sort of architectural structure.
