I've long held a fascination for illustrating landscapes and the intricate layers that they are comprised of. Additionally, I've always been interested in the possibilities offered by Augmented Reality (AR), to accentuate depth through layered elements in my artwork, offering a somewhat immersive and exploratory alternative to the traditional printed and framed representation. Breaking Beyond the Bounds of the frame.

For this particular piece, I utilised Adobe Illustrator and my newly acquired skill - Adobe Aero, despite the current unavailability of Adobe Aero on Android devices—an obstacle that I hope will soon be overcome.

The subject and title of my artwork is Hartebeest Falls, a location of great significance to me as it is my father's resting place. It is a location we frequently visited on our mountain biking adventures when I was just a kid. It was during one of these rides, that my father chose this remote waterfall as his final resting place. While contemplating such a topic is undoubtedly challenging, it underscored the profound importance of open communication and not leaving sentiments unspoken.

Life is replete with unexpected twists, and it serves as a reminder to cherish all the moments and ensure that our feelings and intentions are expressed.
