When designing a bicycle to fit wide tires the framebuilder has to ensure that the crankset will indeed fit and not interfere with the frame. Previously there has not been a tool availible for this task, only rough versions built with stacks of washers and nuts and bolts, or the option of installing the bearings and desired crankset.

 

This simple lasercut tool provides a percise measurement of the final chainring location and fits within the inside diameter of the bottom bracket shell. I think I sold about 30 of them in the first month through my website, not bad for such a small industry.
