This project was to create a 20 page booklet to bring awareness and inform about a social cause of our choice. I chose to dive into the topic of overfishing as it is an often overlooked issue when talking about our oceans. 

The booklet has information ranging from the definition of overfishing to how you personally can help prevent it, as well as a combination of high quality photos and vector graphics. Before starting the project, I created a mood board to find some inspiration.

To begin creating this project, I had to do in-depth research about overfishing to make sure that I was using current information and to keep it easily digestible. To complete my research, I went to large sites such as National Geographic as well as Earth.org, as well as some smaller overfishing-specific sites to gather my information. 

After gathering all my information, I decided on the size of the booklet and began to sketch out possible cover and design ideas. From these sketches I started to make digital rough drafts to plan out the layout of the different spreads.

The cover of the book is what went through the biggest changes throughout the process. The original cover options were very vector based instead of the final photo based cover.
