V222 water tap is an attempt to develop and design a dynamic product with strong design inspiration from extreme sports like speed skiing, motor sports etc.
Use of high-tech materials, aerodynamic details and functions like the integrated aerator to mix water with air for a softer feeling. The temperature is represented from a graphical illustration - changing when the temperature handle is turned.
Product naming is hard stamped on the side of the spout - inspiration for this came from stamping of old Bugatti race cars naming.
The V222 _ Mille Miglia picture shows actual hand crafted 1:1 model. Handles and temperature visuals are made in crafted stainless steel, attached to the remaining model which has been hand crafted in ciba-tools and hand painted to simulate aluminium.
This project was done as student project at BA Industrial Design 3rd year at Designskolen Kolding in 2003.
