A bedroom design that contributes to the boy's character and development. He is a dreamer, achiever, sports and technology enthusiast. Using his old bedroom cabinetry units that no longer fits his needs and taste, the sustainable design approach to repurposing and adding to the units was a starting point for its development.
The existing bedroom units proportions, sizes and functionality did not adapt to the current and future needs of the growing boy, so repurposing the old and adding other functional units that fit seamlessly was a priority.
A complete study of the layout was carefully studied to create different zone for different activities, separating the sleeping are from the studying and hangout area.
Having the wardrobe separate from all his sports and hobbies clothes and items was essential to organize the space and make it more spacious.
His favorite color gitane blue is used just enough to create the pop of color along the monochromatic furniture and neon gaming lights for different moods. The bedroom will allow him to develop his skills, feel safe, express his character and have fun through his experiences and memories.
