Nicolaus Copernicus – the first thing that comes to people’s mind is probably astronomy and his theory of heliocentrism – that Earth and other planets of the Solar system revolve around the sun. But did you know that he was much more than just an astronomer?

Have a look at the illustrated book of Copernicus’ life celebrating his 550th birthday anniversary.

Follow this Renaissance man’s journey in astronomy field from the initial research to famous books on heliocentric system as well as his life and activities as a student, administrative, religious and military person in Polish Kingdom.

The illustrated book was created in cooperation with the Polish Cultural Association “Mikolaj Kopernik” in Zagreb.
The sketching process behind the book
Besides creating illustration my task involved book layout design as well as designing the hard cover where I used the red foil stamp.
