→ Jorge Luis Borges, born in Buenos Aires in 1899, was a visionary of 20th century literature. A master of short prose, his stories reconfigured a new way of reading — literary labyrinths that dazzled readers around the world. He wrote short stories, essays and poems, and often explored the limits of literature by crossing these genres.
