Brilla Luna es una carta de amor a Jalisco, a la Sierra Occidental y a las historias de aquellos que supieron mantener un secreto.
Durante el Virreinato, se creía que el tequila y el mezcal eran la causa de violencia y barbarie en la Nueva Galicia (hoy Jalisco), por lo que aplicaron un impuesto alto para controlar a la población. Sin embargo, hubo quienes —para evitar el impuesto— crearon la raicilla con recetas que le precedían al tequila (la raíz de), manteniendo su producción en secreto y por las noches, donde sólo el brillo de la luna, era testigo de lo que entonces se creaba.
Brilla Luna (la marca, la gráfica y narrativa) es un homenaje a esos secretos y recetas que se convirtieron en historias y en tradiciones.

Brilla Luna is a love letter to Jalisco, to the Western Sierra, and to the stories of those who knew how to keep a secret.
During the Viceroyalty, it was believed that tequila and mezcal were the cause of violence and savagery in Nueva Galicia (now Jalisco). Consequently, a high tax was imposed to control the population. However, there were those whom — in order to evade the tax— created raicilla using recipes that predated tequila (the root of it), keeping its production a secret and only crafting it under the moon's radiant glow, where the moonlight itself bore witness to what was being created.
Brilla Luna, encompassing the brand, the visual aesthetics, and the narrative, is a tribute to those secrets and recipes that evolved into stories and traditions.
