Porto de Magia is a traditional shop located in Porto, Portugal, specialized in selling music boxes for the last 20 years.
During two years, I took photos of the most part of the products they had in stock. I managed their social media by posting daily on Facebook, creating an YouTube channel and also a blog (which is not working anymore) that worked as a backstage of the shop. All the published content (photos, videos, flyers, posters) were original.
During two years, I took photos of the most part of the products they had in stock. I managed their social media by posting daily on Facebook, creating an YouTube channel and also a blog (which is not working anymore) that worked as a backstage of the shop. All the published content (photos, videos, flyers, posters) were original.
As a result, the organic engagement on the social media increased significantly.
Besides managing the social networks I was also in charge of keeping their website up to date, which allowed me to learn a lot about ecommerce.
In the meantime I started some campaigns like promotions and giveaways, “O Cantinho do Artista” (each month a handcraft artist was selected to sell products in the store, as long as they could fit in a shelf), the “Magic Album” (the clients could send their photos of the products they bought and see them being featured in the Facebook page), among others.
After a year working at Porto de Magia I took the initiative to contact SONAE in order to get us a spot on a near shopping center. By september of 2014, the store finally had a stand at Norteshopping, which stayed until the end of the year.
