Card Design 1 "Pearls"
A while ago I drew an Art Nouveau style image you can currently still see here.
I was recording the drawing process in order to create a speed painting which I then posted on some Photoshop and drawing forums I'm on. Since I love Art Nouveau in general and I got tons of replies saying they'd wish for a card series on these, I decided to do one. Just this time I'm not painting but drawing in Illustrator, giving the image it's own special look.

At first, I sat her into a window frame to use up all space available but then decided to use an oval frame.
This would also look nice on a card but make it a lot easier to use the design on all sorts of products. The design fits a lot more neatly of shirts, pillows and so on due to the oval not leaving any open edges and block of color not fitting anywhere.
I then did one version with textured background for cards, posters and other rectangle formed media and one with a transparent background for clean placing on other products.
Since I love this oval result a lot more, I decided to putt all the following cards into neat oval or rectangle frames with the option for a transparent background as well.
I spent a lot of time getting the clouds detailed and getting the texture right.
I decided not to use a jpg for the texture but to vectorize severeal I had done before using coffee, tea and blank sheets of paper.
Creating my own textures is a lot of fun, actually. Plus, there's no worries with the license and it's definitely individual.

But be warned - on Redbubble only the pillow really pops. Most of the printed designs there look pretty messy.
