Football is still considered by many people as a “male” activity. And often girls do not even know that they have such an option - to play football - because nobody is offering them to play. However, there is an amateur football club in Russia called “Girlpower” created for non-professional players which unites girls into teams so they could learn and play football together. The philosophy of the club members is that girls should have the same opportunities as men have to realize themselves in any area of life. Girls should be able to choose any hobby from those they like, and not from those that are customary to engage in.
