Mulberry: unravelling potentiality of a unknown specie

Mulberry (Morus spp.) is recognised to be a "unique" plant due to its broader geological distribution across the continents; ability to be cultivated in different forms; multiple uses of leaf foliage and its positive impact in environmental safety approaches such as eco-restoration of degraded lands, bioremediation of polluted sites, conservation of water, prevention of soil erosion and improvement of air quality by carbon sequestering.

Mulberry can be used as medicinal plant in improving and enhancing life by utilizing the biologically active pharmacokinetic compounds found in leaf, stem and root parts.
Here an immediate proposal of utilization of wasted products found on the banks of "Río Suquía", the river that split Cordoba [Argentina] in its whole length.
Granola is, indeed, a highly appreciated Argentinian product and its preparation with dehydrated mulberry fruits gave a differentiated offer to a saturated market of almost same variants [granola with raisins and nuts, chocolate and nuts, honey and nuts and few more].

Cordoba province, with its almost desert climate and empty territory is perfect home for a suitable and so plastic cultivation.
Cheap to plant, cheap to maintain and care overall, cheap to treat for production purposes. Fast return of investment rate and continuous multiproduction offer.
Many are the trees already available, along both river banks. All of them with a huge but unexploited production. This can be immediately used as income production but nobody care of it.
Mulberry is appreciated in the preparation of products in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and health care industries. The attention of industrialist on raw materials deriving from this plant is high and can be increased.

This specie offer huge potentialities and having the possibility to grow it in the arid Cordoba province gives to the territory itself a great vantage.

Extended plantation can not just catch attention of big corporate for the fast and continuous product availability but can light attention on the whole province as first example of sustainable, fully usable and profitable production.
