BrightLane Inc. sponsored a design contest, "Can you make this sad space AWESOME?" offering an opportunity to change a little piece of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A large alleyway 12 feet wide X 153 feet deep, beside BrightLane's building located at 545 King Street West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

 

This alley is located between a 5 story building and a 1 story building, and is accessible from King Street West. 

Our team participated with a project that propose an exterior dining/ community garden for the people of the Brigthline building and the neighbors.

The workers will have the opportunity to use a grill at the lunch time; to make connections with their co-workers, to  eat fresh organic vegetables, and to use a public space that will relax them and make them feel that they are at a picnic.
