SAVE THE DATE!
The objective was to create a concise animation for announcing an upcoming wedding date, with the intention of sharing it through messaging apps. To set it apart from conventional wedding invitations, the design deliberately avoids typical wedding symbols such as rings or hearts, opting instead for unique, bold, and contemporary color choices to create a distinctive look and feel.
Behind the scenes:
The true standouts in this animation are the ferm living champagne glasses. I took a photo of the original glass and remodeled it in Cinema4D, which involved creating custom displacement maps to replicate the ripples. A lot of time went into animating the two glasses and the champagne. The final rendering was executed in black and white, affording me the flexibility to seamlessly adapt the animation's colors to match with the chosen color scheme of the end product in After Effects.
