Zi (Words/Characters)

A project that first started as an investigation on the Asian and Western metal type, turned into a study on the special characters found in Chinese. The written language of Chinese consist of strokes that make up a character, each with its designated meaning. Such characters originated from ancient pictograms. Some of these characters act as a radical (a part of a character), multiplying its own form, to create a new character. This is a list of most of these special characters, made up of repetitions.
