Assignment 6 - Multiple Exposure

Assignment 6 - Multiple Exposure
by Lucas Skaf
1. I first started by creating a 8.5x11in with 300dpi project in Photoshop. With that created, I placed embedded the photograph I took to start creating the Multiple Exposure. Consequently, I used the Select Subject tool to select my subject and create a Mask to hide the background. In addition, I created a simple white color layer.
2. With the background hidden, I added a Adjustment to the photo as displayed in the demo to transform it to Black & White. Following that, I created a copy of the image and added the photo I wanted to use for the exposure (yellow flowers) in between them and created a clipped mask to the initial portrait photo. Consecutively, I placed where I wanted it to be.
3. With the yellow flowers where I would like them to be, I applied a Screen blend mode to beginning giving the image the Multiple Exposure effect. To make it even better, I used the Brush tool to paint the mask and remove the flower images to some parts and make them with less opacity in other parts.
4. To complement the yellow flowers, I also added another photo of purple flowers. I followed the same process, by creating a clipping mask to the initial portrait photo. But in this case, I used a Lighter Color blending mode instead. I created an mask for it and used the brush with a low opacity to remove from specific parts of the image and make it more prevalent in the shirt.
5. Finally, I grouped all the layers together and we have the final result!
