Diamonds are not Forever
SCAD Studio Project for Social Awareness
There has been significant media attention, such as in film and popular music directed towards the circumstances diamonds are mined, which is usually in conflict zones that fund war-lords. These diamonds then enter the global supply chain for the manufacture of jewelry.

However, unknown to most people there is the exploitation of child labour, usually in India who cut and polish the diamonds. This visual presentation of child-like illustrations using different media as shown below brings to attention the plight of these children.

Addition to the campaign, this information graphics was designed to provide further knowledge of the campaign. By highlighting the main factors for why children are hired and how the raw diamonds are processed and shipped.

It also shows the main contributors and how to look for diamond from war torn Africa, by going to certified sellers and knowing the regulators who are in charge of making sure that the diamonds are not made by children and banned countries.
