BCI 기술은 뇌파를 이용해 컴퓨터를 사용할 수 있는 인터페이스를 뜻한다. 두뇌의 정보 처리 결과인 의사결정을 언어나 신체 동작을 거치지 않고, 사용자가 생각하고 결정한 특정 뇌파를 센서로 전달하여 컴퓨터에서 해당 명령을 실행할 수 있는 기술을 말합니다.

뇌파를 인식함과 제품과 뇌의 연결이라는 gleam의 두가지 핵심 기능을 나타낼 수 있는 조형언어로 ‘파동’과 ‘연결’을 디자인 언어로 선정하여 디자인 하였습니다.
Process
Since gleam is a wearable product meant to be actually worn, it was designed based on the average size of the human head.
*The head model fitting was performed five times to ensure a precise fit and took into consideration the contact area with the floor, given the nature of the sleep product.
gleam은 실제 착용이 이루어지는 웨어러블 제품이기 때문에 인간 머리의 평균사이즈를 기준으로 제작하였습니다.
*머리 모델 실착을 5회 진행하며 머리에 딱 맞게끔 제작하였고, 수면 제품 특성상 누웠을 때 바닥과 닿는 면적 또한 고려하며 진행하였습니다.
