Proactive design exercise for refreshing the Brand Identity of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
    Published:
The institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) is one of the country’s foremost and largest professional organizations that has produced over 5,400 chartered accountants. The Institute provides leadership and insight to the accountancy and finance profession in Sri Lanka as well as globally.

This is a proactive design exercise that we presented to them to refresh their Brand Identity.

On the use of colour
The maturity and power of Burgundy and pure excellence of White is combined with the seriousness of Gray. The text has also been softened using the colour Gray over the traditional choice of black. The words ‘Chartered Accountants’ has been retained in black however, to highlight our commitment to our core  function.

On the unit
The square is one of the most stable shapes in geometry and design. The font too is strong and has been chosen for its traditional feel, lending a sense of seriousness to the design. But the traditional ‘square’ has been modernized by tilting it on its edge.

ICASL is traditional, mature and serious, but always edgy. While the brand may be going contemporary, our trusted core values will never change. Just as our commitment to maintaining Accounting Standards in Sri Lanka will never waver.
