Short film - Utopian Romance

I wrote and produced this short film in collaboration with Evolène Lavanchy and Léonie Schmutz. We were assigned to create a sequence on a theme of our choice, and we came up with a scenario of an idyllic love story between a woman and a man. Their love is growing day by day and makes us wonder what could possibly spoil such beautiful moments.
Since we filmed a scene showcasing a VR headset, we opted for a 21:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The pre-production consisted of a document where we discussed our intentions and goals for the art direction. We also determined the location, designed the set, and hired the actors. One the day of the shoot, we did the hair and make-up as well as styled the actors. Once the filming was completed, we did the post-production, where we edited the scenes in Premiere Pro. The background music was composed by local jazz musicians, who made an original music piece specifically for our project. We wanted to use a romantic melody to immerse the viewer in the passion felt by the two lovers.
