Personal Wedding Website - My first project

Personal Wedding Website
My very first (single) project - years before the bootcamp
Overview

In 2018, I embarked on a unique and personal project that would later prove to be the seed of my interest in UX design. To celebrate our special day, my fiancé and I decided to create a wedding website that would not only serve as an invitation but also provide a wealth of essential information for our guests. We included a QR code on our physical invitations, allowing guests to easily access the website with their smartphones. This project was not only a labor of love but also an opportunity to exercise my design skills.
Invitation Innovation

Our wedding website featured a QR code on the invitation, offering guests a modern and convenient way to access all the vital details of our big day. It was a novel approach that received positive feedback and set the stage for a user-centered experience.
Comprehensive Event Information

The website served as a one-stop destination for all wedding-related information. Guests could find the exact date and time of the event, a detailed schedule for the day, venue information, menu options, and even a form to inform us about allergies and dietary preferences. We also included details like dress code, taxi contacts, and contact information for our ceremony master and parents. Additionally, we provided information about accommodation options in the area, ensuring our guests had everything they needed at their fingertips.

User-Friendly Planning

This project not only delighted our guests but also ignited my passion for planning and creating user-friendly digital experiences. Little did I know at the time that this endeavor would plant the seed of my future career in UX design.

Conclusion

Creating a personal wedding website was more than just a celebration of love; it was the beginning of my journey into the world of user-centric design. It was a project that demonstrated the power of thoughtful planning and the impact of a user-friendly digital interface, paving the way for my future endeavors in the field of UX design.
