Toloks Basketball Academy
Toloks is a basketball academy located in Mérida, México that aims to train, educate and support young talent in the region, by offering comprenhensive basketball training courses from beginner to advanced level players.
A Tolok is a type of iguana that's native from the Yucatán península. When we started the project, the goal was to create an identity that could compete with high level teams and academies, but that it also felt local in order to give the sense of belonging to the players.
The identity is vibrant, bold and fun. We developed patterns and illustrations. We created different versions of the logo and a wordmark that can be used for the academy and transformed into a more commercial style for the team.
