Typographic experiment Prize @Cele mai frumoase carti, Romania, 2014
The history of books and bookbinding aims to illustrate the evolution, perception and conservation of books, through time, describing different bookbinding techniques and it's importance in the book's persistence, the relathionship between binding, size, layout, content, cover.

Books arises in the minds of young people especially, countless questions like:
Since when man learned how to write?
What type of tools did he use?
How did the book evolve?
How were books conserved?

This book answers to all these questions.

It's content is based on the history of bookmaking, the morphology of books, bookbinding steps, techniques and tools. The book is structured in a way that the reader can easily follow all the steps required in bookmaking through text, images and illustrations.

This is book no. 1, followed by 6 more exemples the perfect relathionship between content, type of binding, typography, layout, cover, phisiognomy. Stay tuned for more coming up next week Marco Casagrande.
