Mock-up footwear advertisement
Design choices:
•The background was inspired by TV static background, as a commentary on how many young people are strictly online vs consuming cable television. When creating the wavy lines I was trying to replicate how Saturn's rings look from long exposure photographs.
•The black puddle has a slight chrome effect and has a shimmering effect as if it was stepped through. The purpose of the black was to help the shoe, the focus of the advert to stand out. It was also to subconsciously show how the clean shoes are durable and easy to clean.
•The red wavy lines are threads from the hi-tops, showing the material they are made from. Converse uses some eco-friendly materials including organic and recycled cotton and polyester.
The use of the red threads helps draw attention back to the centre.
•Use of the hi-tops as they are in my opinion the most Recognisable Converse style. Red is bright and eye catching and contrasts well with the background.
•Shadow under the hi-top to help it stand out and give it the effect of actual being there in a physical space.
•The Converse text has the red threads inside to help it stand out, I have the logo in the top left but left clean with no threads, its iconic and instantly recognisable so will grab the audiences attention.
The shadow from the sneaker overlays half the text giving it a 3D effect.

Concept poster on travel to Mars
For this brief I was required to create a poster with a logo. I decided to create a poster for travel to mars with the embroidered mission badge being the logo.

Design process:
•The first thought was to have the two planets top and bottom contrasting each other.
•For the background it only made sense to use a beautiful starry backdrop showing the sheer distance and nothingness separating the two planets.
•The font used was a style that fit in well with the SpaceX font and style.
•In the "Mission to Mars" bar, I used a gradient from left to right, starting with blue as it the nickname of our planet which quickly shifts into the red/orange colour of Mars.
•I created a tagline motivating interested people to apply so they can one of the first people to step foot on the red planet.
•Elon has made it clear that he wants people of all ages to apply so I have this highlighted, as well as his quote down the bottom, which stands out nicely due to the brightness of the earth behind it.

I was required to create an infographic on a topic of interest. Chess was something I had picked up again, partly due to the resurgence I speak about throughout this infographic. This resurgence was mostly due to online streaming of the Netflix show "The Queen's Gambit" and online videogame streamers Playing and hosting in chess tournaments on Twitch.
