Result
During the interview, I investigated some information from my sister because of the pants she received from her mother. My sister wears it almost every week because it is easy to wear due to its stylish design and comfortable. She said the denim shorts were one of her favorite short jeans, she gave the pants a 9/10 because it's simple to coordinate with other items even though it's made from denim but very comfortable and relaxed. She can do activities freely such as walking, running, and jumping flexibly without any problems. From the first time she saw this pair of denim shorts, she loved it because its design was quite flattering and fit my sister's body. Even though she has a lot of similar denim shorts, she still appreciates them because the denim shorts' color is unique and it can be challenging to find short jeans that meet her criteria: design, color, style and fit the girl's body like that. However, she feels pity the shape of the denim shorts is no longer the same as when they were new. After all, due to the frequency of using the short jeans too much and now that she is older, she cannot wear them. She tried to find similar short jeans in clothing stores, shopping malls or e-commerce platforms but was unsuccessful because it needed to meet her requirements. The denim shorts will be a memory for her because they remind her of her mother and how beautiful and aesthetic the short jeans are.
Object inventory
According to her statistics, here is the image that includes the things my sister cannot do without within 24 hours. My sister is a petite girl, she likes to use small items that fit in the palm of her hand and she favors denim shorts that give her a youthful, dynamic feeling and can be used every day because of their simplicity of use and convenience. she is a person who loves herself and focuses on her appearance. She will always appear in active denim shorts and always be present with a handbag containing everything inside, such as hand cream, airpods, wallet, lipstick, comb, hair tie and perfume. She's always ready to dress up when her grooming is down. She changes her phone case almost daily so that the phone matches the outfit she wears, sometimes spinning the Rubik's Cube is her pastime when she feels bored. Her hobby is reading books to learn new things, she will often appear with random books and at the same time with her glasses. These things can be considered indispensable in her life, especially for someone who loves beauty and appreciates knowledge like my sister.
Ideation sketches
My sister's favorite shorts are the denim ones I'm going to remake. They are also lovely in my opinion, both in terms of color and form and design. Although she doesn't store them, my sister doesn't want to throw them away. It's the cabinet. Here are some suggestions for additional usage for these jeans.
Here are my ideas from my sister's shorts to make those denim shorts more valuable in her life. My first idea was to turn it into a tote bag to store miscellaneous things or store items when going to Coles or Woolworths, which is also a way to protect the environment. The fabric is made from denim, so it's also quite durable to carry heavy. The second idea, from the original pants, is to sew it into a cute little airpods case to protect the airpods from falling or scratches. The third idea is to use it as a cardholder to hold many cards. Instead of the usual card holders made of leather, I made them out of denim, which is both unique and convenient but also durable. The next idea is to make it into a small teddy bear or a sesame bear keychain to upgrade its fashion value as well as an object to keep memories. My final idea was to sew the original pair of denim pants into a denim crop top that was attractive and suitable for my sister's preference for wearing denim. Besides, the crop top is relatively easy to combine with other accessories. I believe the result will be as expected and also a bright idea, the shirt will help her clearly express her style.
Immersing research
My sister uses these denim jeans in almost every situation because of their ease of use. She is very confident when wearing denim shorts because it has a harmonious color and flatter her body shape. Besides, it is easy to mix and match with other outfit and it makes my sister feel comfortable. My sister loves it and wears it a lot.

Hello, I'm Chloe. This is my Reimagined Object 1. In this project, I invited my sister to be my audience user. I will redesign her denim shorts because she wants a new design. After the interview, she likes small, simple and luxurious things. Then, I started designing according to her preferences. I redesigned a pair of denim shorts to look like a croptop, a small bear keychain, a scrunchie, a tote bag, an airpods case and a cardholder. Then, I created five collages of the simulated design, and she chose the one with the brightest colors, which she thought was simple and attractive.
