WHO IS VARENYE ORGANISM?

VARENYE ORGANISME began as a game. We grew tired of being who we were, so we became different: abstract creatures of an undefined reality. We invented a construction kit that could change the form of the human physical shell. We started adding hands, growing square fins on our backs, changing our faces, becoming crystals.
Later, we added spacesuits to the construction kit and, in collaboration with folks from Flacon Design-Factory, made a METAMORPHOZIUMO MACHINE, which was to be loaded with homo sapiens for the purpose of reformulation their DNA using psychoactive elements-accessories.

The first years of VARENYE vortex were filled with Casual Art Psy Games. That is, there was no VARENYE project yet, and we just wanted to seep through the jelly, and the concrete in our original naive form. We have discovered a method of “evolution through play” - when you change your appearance, your behaviour follows, and the inside transforms as well.

Having started the mechanism of personal metamorphoses, we’ve realized that the room in which we tot was getting too small for us, and it was time to upgrade. We began to go out and trifle people. People were not ready, they would chew the Cud and couldn’t figure out they were in pickle, while they could have been in Jam. So we decided to give birth to abstract urbanism, an attempt to adjust the reality to our new perception of it. We began to make urban simulators - metaphysical things that stretch the participants’ consciousness into new frameworks.

Our first techno-magical converter was the Happiness Irradiation Room, or Amusator, - a lemon fur turbine tickling bypassers with holographic breeze. It worked flawlessly. Everyone exposed to the radiation session became completely happy.

Our second small-scale simulator was a concrete puddle titled "You've got into a jam". It had gumboots sticking out of it, into which anyone could put her/ his/whoever’s paws and, being stuck, realize the absurdity of being stuck in a grown up, fully formed personality and in the seeming difficulty of leaving the dead ends of their routines.

In the spring of ’14 we put our PROMISE ACCELERATOR in Goncharovsky park in Moscow. The object is a centrifuge that swirls and throws together thought-forms of promises - like a small hadron collider.

A whole collection of simulators became part of the children’s site of the yearly ARCHSTOYANIE FESTIVAL, which we authored and co-curated. The task of “You May!” (as we dubbed it) was that same idea of transformation of a grown-up individousaurus back into the childish exploratory panther.

Today we are working on several Emotional Urbanistics projects:
TEEKI-PEEKI FOREST is an urban landscape musical instrument missioned to create a local music community in the Lianozovo park.

Beneficodes and Pesterposters messages from the VARENYE Organism scattered around the city like spores of remedial mushrooms. Recently they were presented at the Moscow Biennale of Street Art Artmossfera, predictably, in the form of an interactive game.

In the future we will construct a park, which will be a place for a true waterfall and lava lava. The people will come for the experience, and become internally muscular and mentally agile.
