AN EXTREMELY FUN EXPERIMENT WITH LIGHT AND COLOUR WITH PHOTOGRAPHER APPURVA SHAH. A SHOOT INSPIRED BY A VERSE I HAD WRITTEN.
"I want to experience the hope you have,
When the warmth of the sun touches your cheeks,
Waking you up to a new beginning.
The happiness you feel when you step out and wander,
The tightness of the hugs you share with your loved ones,
And the pain that fills your heart,
At the sight of the ones you hold close in despair.
How much sorrow can I take?
For, the affection you have for this place,
is not something to which I relate.
I hate the way I don’t feel any of these emotions,
I hate how nothing makes sense,
I hate how you always have to muster the slightest bit of strength.
To keep me from going,
Going far away.
I hate how you try to be my ray of sunshine,
Breaking through the walls of darkness I’ve built around me.
But please let me go,
Let me find my calling,
As the place you call home does not embark any feeling of belongingness to me,
And the suffering just pertains."
