I’ve enjoyed doing a quick design and visualisation exercise to imagine how a fully weaponised Mitsubishi GTO JGTC / GT500 endurance car might've looked.

I've loved the regular GTO road-car since first playing Gran Turismo back in 1997 - but I always fancied doing my own "beefier" LM version.

I managed to get a mesh model of the road-car – and have had fun developing new motorsport bodywork in Alias (3D CAD) to capture the character I was after.

I wanted it to look purposeful and aggressive – but stay true to styling character and details of race cars from it's era.

It’s been a quick exercise – I've only spent 25-30 hours on it so far – including developing a basic VRED visualisation scene to represent the iconic Le Mans pitlane.

For sure, I'd love the opportunity to take this one a LOT further as a live project – but for now it’s good enough to communicate the design intent, and hopefully generate some interest? ;-)
