Sensory Exhibition

How the exhibition works:

It related in a visual way how the Chinese community has adapted to the city and has grown with the rest of the citizens in each of the streets. On 2022 citizens were able to enjoy the exhibition. The main sponsors of this exhibition were Casa Asia, the Confucius Institute Foundation, Barcelona City Council with the support of the ICO Foundation and the Chinese Consulate. The space was made up of a room with different sensory proposals, from start to finish. In other words, from obtaining entry to exit, aspects related to the senses and the Chinese community living in the city of Barcelona were included. Each of the rooms included a red poster that put the visitor in context.

According to 2020 data from the National Institute of Statistics, there are 33,651 Chinese citizens living in the Barcelonès region. A community, which must include the direct descendants who were born and live in the land as Catalans. From the year 2019 to the present, the author maintains a relationship with a person of Chinese origin who was the main axis to steer this interest towards a new scenario in which Chinese culture was present in the objectives later At the same time, in 2018 he made a trip across the Asian continent, including China for two months where he stayed in the cities of Beijing (北京), Shanghai (上海), and the mountainous lands of Yangshuo (阳朔). This trip gave a perspective and projection of the author's interests to return to this country in the near future and take advantage of the opportunities there.
