In our busy, increasingly hurried lives in which human relationships are changing due to technology, sometimes reality far exceeds what we see in fiction, so much so that we no longer distinguish what is real and what is not.
We often experience with a certain detachment some information about new events related to ongoing wars, episodes in which we see some cities in the world completely gutted and reduced to real ghost cities. Not to mention the atrocious consequences of these behaviors on the lives of those who live the war on their own skin. Is this emotional distance due to our geographical distance from the epicenter of the events?

This project was created based on this question: "What would war be like if it were near you?"; which is then also the title of the project.
In the reportage of photos recreated through AI we see a background scenario very similar to the city of Barcelona completely in a state of attack and destruction. I chose this city because it is the city where I live, but it could represent any European capital with its besieged streets and rubble.
