A LINK TO THE ITALIAN CULTURE - ISTITUTO ITALIANO DI CULTURA
Istituto Italiano di Cultura is a worldwide non-profit organization created by the Italian government. It promotes Italian culture and it is involved in the teaching of the Italian language; it is similar to the French Alliance Française, the Spanish Cervantes Institute, the British Council and the German Goethe Institute. The creation of the institute was in response to the desire for a deeper understanding of Italian culture throughout many continents. By organising cultural activities it supports the work carried out by the Italian Embassies and Consulates. There are ninety Italian Cultural Institutes throughout major cities around the world.
The proposal must convey the image of Italy as country of classic and contemporary culture, using both an institutional tone and captivating a young target. (Brief)
The idea comes from the drawing of an Italian typical city, as symbol of culture, history and community, and the QR code that represents a modern language and a fast communication. The result is "A link to the Italian culture" , a new graphic identity that combines a serif institutional font to a modern clean symbol.
