VE09 Blister Radio

The VE09 Blister Radio is made from PLA, a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resourcessuch as cornstarch (in the U.S.) or sugarcanes. The design is based onconventional vacuum-formed packaging components, displaying intuitivelyall rudimentary components of a traditional radio while a retailenvironment, and permanently while at home. The blister replacescomplex injection-molded case and has a life beyond the retail shelf.

The solar panel in the back of the clear blister pack recharges thebatteries allowing the user to operate the radio without ever openingthe clamshell package.
