The Adventures of Mr Lear, the Polly and the Pusseybite

Edward Lear is an illustrator, author, poet in 19th century who is known for his quirky and nonsense writings. His famous ‘Book of Nonsense’ were first published in 1846. His nonsense drawings show simplicity and freshness, which were very forward looking for the time. The challenge of this project is to re-interpret them for a 21st century audience.
The story selected was 'The Adventures of Mr. Lear, the Polly and the Pusseybite", with an exciting plot. The outcome, a picture book is created that promote Edward Lear’s nonsense story through fun and engaging illustrations. Through enhancing typography, colours, character design and layout, this book came along with lively, whimsical illustrations that created a fantastic world of imagination and delight for children.
