Mind Map - Comic Style

Personal Project, Full Sail University, MUS6018 Music and Audio for Instructional Design
This class assignment required students to apply visual design principles learned in prior courses to mind map foundational concepts associated with audio and both the acoustic and analog signal path. Four mind maps were required to be submitted within one week for a peer review. The final versions were due within 48 hours of submitting the drafts.

A hand-written mind map illustrating chunked ideas and concepts was submitted for peer review based on the content provided by the professor. Rather than providing a simple chart of color-coded boxes and lines, the final version of the mind map followed a theme based on the sound effects found in comics which exceeded the visual design requirement for this project.

The final submission did meet the requirements of this assignment and received this feedback from Dr. Deason:
"I wanted to take a moment to commend you on the outstanding work you did on your concept maps. Your effort and attention to detail truly shine through in this project.

Comprehensive Coverage: Your concept map provides a thorough exploration of sound engineering terminology. It's evident that you've put in significant effort to include a wide range of concepts, from fundamental principles to advanced techniques.

Clear Hierarchical Structure: The organization of your concept map is excellent. The central concept is clearly defined, and the sub-concepts are logically grouped and connected. This makes it easy to navigate and understand the relationships between different terms.

Effective Use of Visuals: The incorporation of visuals, whether diagrams, images, or symbols, enhances the overall clarity of your concept map. They provide additional context and make complex ideas more accessible.

Thoughtful Color Coding: The use of colors to differentiate between different types of concepts is a thoughtful touch. It aids in quickly identifying categories and adds an extra layer of visual clarity.

Attention to Detail: It's evident that you've paid close attention to even the finer details. This level of precision ensures that the concept map is not only informative but also visually appealing.

Demonstration of Knowledge: Your concept map reflects a deep understanding of sound engineering concepts. It's evident that you've not only gathered information but also synthesized it effectively.

Overall, your concept maps below are commendable pieces of IDTMS portfolio work. Your concept maps below showcases your knowledge and your ability to present complex information in a clear and organized manner."
