The poster that is displayed in this train station hallway was inspired by the German-influenced festival referred to by the masses as Oktoberfest. The design was chosen after much deliberation, largely due to the creativity of the artwork to skillfully integrate virtually every element that one can find at the event, while remaining simple in form. The colors were selected to highlight the energy (mood) that the event illuminates. Specifically, this design artistically implies that there will be food, intimacy, fun, and encourages one to wear the traditional clothing found at the inception of the event's creation. Most importantly, it informs the viewer that there will be BEER! (The focal point of the poster/event) Moreover, the Beer Stein and text ("SHOW US YOUR MUG!") play a dual purpose to influence the masses to be present at the event and to bring a traditional/festival-inspired BEER STEIN!

The choice of the subway station mock-up is to demonstrate where this Poster can/should be displayed for all to see. According to data collected via Google, many of the patrons travel by train to the event using the main Berlin train station in Munich, known as Hauptbahnhof. Overall, this design choice is fun, creative, and multifunctional, while remaining simple at the same time.

The artwork was hand drawn. The sketch was uploaded to the Adobe InDesign app to highlight the line work. Then Adobe Photoshop was used for all coloring and texture. Photoshop allows the artist to truly incorporate techniques and color palettes that cannot be done by hand and are rarely capable of being done in any other app.
