Kristina and Nicholas’ Wedding Stationary
One of my favorite things is to incorporate vintage typography with wedding invitations. My brother-in-law and future fiancé came to me with the request to design a vintage, beach style theme for their wedding stationary. They wished to incorporate their colors, Blue Comet and Pewter and drift wood look into the design.

With the challenge on, I crafted a drift wood texture that would work perfectly as a backdrop unifying all the pieces for this stationary. After creating the texture, I chose Brand Pro Script for their names and headlines and Appareo for the body copy; two amazing, stylish fonts that take the look of vintage to the next level. But because the Brand Pro font did not have a distressed look to it, I created a distressed pattern to give it a weathered look to match the style of Appareo. I then went with a Classic Columns Charcoal & Recycled 100 Bright White 120# cover duplex paper to bring the beach wood theme to life, printed on the white side and leaving the charcoal side blank. The color and texture of the paper matched my vision and ultimately was the perfect thematic fit.

The invite, the final piece, was a vertical, narrow invite to represent a piece of wood from the beach. I notched two half circles on both sides of the invite, placed the reply card and envelope on top of the invite and tied a knot around the package with a natural hemp twine. All 75 invites were then placed into a blue Thick-e-lopes envelope and sent out.
Thank you for viewing my work.
